Creation of low cost actutors and sensors (or complex packages that contains both of them) by using Xbees combined with Arduino for domestic use. Other hardware intefaces that also used: X10 and DMX.
Control home devices (e.g. lights, TVs) by using kinect and windows phones by using augmented reality programming libraries.
